Because welding creates fumes, it is important to have proper respiratory protection to shield you from harmful gases, vapors, particulates and more. ArcOne® has been a leader in protecting welders for over 20 years.
Welding creates fumes. Depending on the ventilation in the work setting, a powered air system may be the prudent approach to worker safety. For a correct analysis of the work environment, air sampling should be completed by an industrial hygienist and/or a safety expert.
When respirators are in use, a respiratory protection program should be formalized covering the basic requirements. OSHA Respiratory Protection Standard (29 CFR 1910.134) covers these requirements.
